Day-Of Coordinator
The Day-Of Coordinator is a vital part of weddings. They are the number one, go-to person for couples on their wedding day here at Stanley’s. This staff-member works with the couple, their bridal party and Stanley’s staff to ensure that the special day runs smoothly!
Responsibilities Include
- Greeting Bride & Groom upon their arrival.
- Coordinating the wedding ceremony including where the bridal party stands, who enters when and which songs are for who.
- Supply Bridal party with food and drink during cocktail hour, especially if they are taking photos.
- Ensure that the day runs on schedule per the detailed timeline.
- Inform the event staff of any potential delays or issues.
- Serving food & drinks.
- Handle any issues or concerns that may be brought up by the Bride, Groom or other VIP guest.
Job Requirements
- 18+ years old
- A valid driver’s license or reliable transportation. There is no public transportation available.
- Previous event experience is considered an asset.
- A positive, friendly and out-going nature.
- The ability to adapt and solve problems quickly and effectively.
Job Type: Part-time/Casual
Salary: $17.00 + based on experience. Seasonal Gratuities.
Catering Chef
Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm is a Wedding & Events venue located in the South of Ottawa. Alongside hosting 40+ weddings and events every year, Stanley’s also opens their doors to the public in the springtime for the ever-popular sugarbush season. As a catering chef at Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our valued guests.
Some responsibilities include:
- Menu Creation & Innovation: Develop innovative and diverse menus tailored to the specific requirements of each event. Embrace the opportunity to experiment with different recipes and showcase your culinary expertise.
- Food Preparation: Prepare high-quality meals for events of varying sizes and types. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards to ensure the health and satisfaction of our guests.
- Culinary Execution: Oversee the execution of menu items, ensuring that they are visually appealing, taste exceptional, and are delivered in a timely manner. Maintain consistency in food presentation and quality.
- Ingredient Sourcing: Collaborate with our local suppliers and farmers to procure fresh, seasonal, and high-quality ingredients.
- Team Coordination: Work closely with the catering team to ensure smooth and efficient operations during events. Provide guidance, training, and support to foster a positive work environment.
- Event Collaboration: Collaborate with event coordinators, planners, and clients to understand their vision and preferences. Offer professional advice and creative suggestions to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Kitchen Organization: Oversee the organization and cleanliness of the catering kitchen. Maintain proper inventory levels, monitor equipment functionality, and ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
The Catering Chef at Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm will work an average of 35-40 hours a week. Occasionally additional hours may be required. A Wedding/Event Day can result in a 10-12 hour day
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Proven experience as a chef in a catering or event setting.
- In-depth knowledge of various culinary styles, techniques, and food trends.
- Strong creativity and ability to experiment with different recipes.
- Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to clearly communicate in English. Bilingualism is an asset.
- A valid G class driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation is required. Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane is not accessible by public transit.

Salary: $19.00-$24.00 per hour + Seasonal Gratuities
Wedding & Event Staff
Our event staff are a huge part of what makes our weddings and events successful and we are looking for fun, out-going and hard working individuals to join that team! Our wedding and events team make dreams comes true. To do that we need passionate people who will bring their “A” game to every event they work at.
Responsibilities include:
- Run food from the kitchen to the banquet hall on demand
- Assist with food and table prep before the event begins
- Serve plated hors d’oeuvres and describe ingredients
- Serve plated dinners to guests and respond to requests for beverages, appetizers and other needs
- Communicate with banquet supervisor as well as other servers and event organizers
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (over 18)
- Open wine and take drink orders (over 18)
- Clean up venue after event ends and assist with inventory, food storage and other closeout tasks
The ideal candidate will possess:
- High school diploma/GED preferred but not mandatory
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Previous waitstaff experience a plus
- Ability to work quickly and as a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid license & reliable transportation required. No public transportation available.
Job Type: Part-time (6-15 hours per weekend)
Salary: Minimum Wage + based on experience. Gratuities Added On. Opportunity for promotion.
