Venue Operations Assistant
Summer Student Position
Join our team for a hands-on summer role supporting weddings, events, and day-to-day farm venue operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a fast-paced event environment. Opportunity for continued part-time employment into the Fall.
Responsibilities Include:
Venue Preparation & Reset
Clean and reset event venues following weddings and special events
Sweep, mop, and machine-clean floors
Set up tables, chairs, and venue furniture according to floor plans
Assist with specialty setup items including risers and other event equipment
Grounds & Property Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness around venues and ceremony spaces
Empty outdoor garbage bins and collect litter/debris
Reset outdoor seating and common guest areas
Assist with trimming, mowing, and general lawn/landscape upkeep
Clear walkways and event spaces using leaf blowers, brooms, and other tools
Wedding & Event Support
Prepare ceremony seating and event spaces before guest arrival
Clean golf carts and assist with transportation setup
Help direct guest parking and traffic flow during events
Transport elderly or mobility-restricted guests as needed using golf cart
Assist with ceremony cleanup following events
Additional Duties
Support management team with miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned
Work collaboratively with lawn crew and event staff as needed
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to work independently and follow direction
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Able to lift/move tables, chairs, and equipment
Excellent time management and attention to detail
Friendly and professional when interacting with guests

We are looking for hard-working and fun-loving individuals to fill a variety of positions. Be a part of the experience that brings smiles to thousands of visitors each year!
Positions Available:
- Gate/Admissions Staff – Responsibilities include taking admission, providing information, and warmly welcoming guests.
- Parking Lot Staff – Direct traffic efficiently and extend a warm welcome to arriving guests.
- Taffy Makers – Working in the taffy shack making delicious taffy on the snow.
- Pancake House Staff – Positions available for bussers, host/hostesses, cashiers + more. Previous experience is an asset.
- Kitchen Staff – Openings for dishwashers, line cooks, and general kitchen help. Previous experience is an asset.
- Be welcoming, friendly, and enjoy interacting with guests.
- Be 14 years or older (Certain positions may be reserved for older, more experienced staff).
- Have reliable transportation.
- Be willing to work outdoors in a dynamic environment.
