Hi! I’m Pollux Thain (he/him). I am a 1st year educator having recently graduated from Lakehead Orillia’s Concurrent Education program. I have a passion for outdoor education and previously created and taught a forest camp two summers in a row at a private school in Barrie, ON. I thoroughly enjoy all things to do with being in nature and love to play and listen to music. I am so eagerly looking forward to the upcoming summer and hope to see your smiling face at Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm!

Sierra Hildreth

Hello! My name is Sierra (she/her)! I am an elementary school teacher in the Ottawa Catholic School Board. In the past few years I have taught kids from kindergarten up to grade 6. I always have at least one book on the go and have a passion for instilling that love of reading onto the next generation. I make it my mission to try and create a fun learning environment for all kids no matter their age. I can’t wait for all the fun learning adventures we will go on this summer!

Sierra Stanley

Camp Director

Hey there! I’m Sierra Stanley, and I’m super excited to be the Camp Director at Stanley’s Farm and Forest Camp. Growing up on our family farm, I fell in love with the outdoors and environmental caretaking from an early age. I’ve always been passionate about education, especially when it comes to nature. That’s why I’ve created a space where kids can connect with the natural world in meaningful ways. At Stanley’s, we’re all about fostering curiosity and appreciation for the environment.

From exploring the forest to learning about plants, animals, and where our food comes from, we’re all about hands-on experiences. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love for nature in every camper who comes through our gates.

I couldn’t be more thrilled to see my dream of running a summer camp come to life. I can’t wait to welcome you to Stanley’s Farm and Forest Camp, where unforgettable adventures await!

FAQ

We love when friends come to camp together! When you register, there is a section that asks if they would like to be grouped with anyone else registered for forest & farm camp. Let us know the first and last name of your campers friend(s) and we will do our best to make sure they are grouped together.

*If you have multiple campers joining us with multiple friends, please specify which camper would like to be paired with which friend*

Our policy is that all campers should be at least five years old as of December 31st, 2023 to be eligible to register.

We have 10 campers in each group led by leader.

Yes! Our amazing Catering Team does everything that they can to accommodate all camper’s allergies and dietary restrictions. Please ensure that all alergies/restrictions are very clear when filling out your camper’s information during registration.

Please note: we acknowledge and prioritize the importance of addressing various allergies and dietary restrictions to the best of our ability. While we make every effort to provide appropriate alternatives, certain accommodations may be limited. Our kitchen can accommodate most allergies, but while we take precautions to minimize allergens, we cannot guarantee an allergen free environment on-site. Parents and guardians are kindly urged to communicate specific allergies and restrictions clearly and empower their child with self-awareness and responsibility regarding their dietary needs.
