Spring is a busy time here at Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm – as we continue to produce maple syrup the olde-fashioned way!
Each year we tap a few hundred trees – tap & bucket style – on our property here in Edwards, as well as a few thousand more – using a pipeline- on two properties in Lanark and Southern Ontario.
Here at our farm in Edwards, we show the sap to syrup process in our heritage sugarshack (the building has been standing since the mid-1800’s) using a similar open air, wood-fired evaporator to what the Lowney family would have used at the farm, at the turn of the 20th century.
The sap that we boil down to sticky-sweet syrup here, is bottled as family reserve stock and used in some of our housemade sweets, treats & goodies.
Our other two properties bring in gallons & gallons of sap & syrup , and every single drop of syrup sold or served here at Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm, has it’s final boil and is bottled in our little bottling plant in the Stonehouse. That means Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Syrup is truly a locally produced Canadian product!
Aside from Maple Syrup, we produce homemade Maple Fudge, Maple Kettlecorn, Maple Red Pepper Jelly, Maple BBQ Sauce, and Hot Hot Maple Mustard!

Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm is open Saturdays & Sundays 9am-3pm until April 10th!
