Our Story

Located just minutes from downtown Ottawa, Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm™ has quickly become the National Capital Region’s premier reception destination for your Wedding, Company Retreat, or other group function.

Towering maples surround the quarried field stone house built in the 1850s. The wooden barn and other log outbuildings are vivid reminders of our heritage in agriculture. Follow the trails through acres of Maple bush, Cedar groves and Meadows where nature is at its best. While appreciating the beauty of your surroundings, you might be lucky enough to view some of the wildlife living here. These trails are enjoyed whether walking or taking a horse-drawn sleigh or wagon ride.

With a varied mix of country gardens, wooded glades and other unique settings, Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm™ is the perfect location for those unique, one-of-a-kind photos – as all of Ottawa’s major photographers have already discovered.

Our modern reception facilities can accommodate groups of any size. From individual families to corporate functions; our services can be tailored to meet your needs. Our Stone House Hall will seat 80 comfortably, the festival tent on the South Lawn can accommodate up to 200 guests, and the Maples Reception facility will easily seat 400.

Each fully licensed reception area features separate catering rooms, dedicated washroom facilities, ample electrical power and more. All of the areas are located far enough from each other so as to not disturb (or be disturbed by) other parties on the farm.

With 250 acres of developed and undeveloped property, we’ve hosted Christmas Parties (with Sleigh Rides), an Officially Sanctioned Rodeo, All Terrain Vehicle trials, and more. Contact us today and allow us to help you create that memorable event.

Come to the country and enjoy the friendly hospitality!

Meet The Team

Earl Stanley
Earl StanleyOwner/Proprietor
Stanley’s has allowed Earl to combine his love of agriculture with his passion for working with people. Earl spent many spring days as a child helping to collect sap with the Loney family on this very property. He purchased the property with his brother in 1993 and has been growing the business ever since. The first wedding took place in 1996, and in fact Earl himself was married on the farm in the summer of 1997.

Kathy GutscherOperations Manager
Kathy, Earl’s big sister, was brought in to help out “temporarily” in 2006 and has been here ever since. Managing daily operations in a business where no 2 days are ever a like isn’t an easy task, but her love of animals (especially ‘Pig’) and gardening makes for a nice break from the day to day office work.

“It Truly was Perfect in Every Way”

“Thanks for making our special day so amazing. It truly was perfect in every way. We really really had fun and that is what we were aiming for. Stanleys will come highly recommended from us. Earl, you made us feel so at ease during the ceremony. The little pep talks helped everyone! And most importantly thanks for fixing my dress when I got out of the carriage. You thought of everything!”
